Is your photo telling the truth?
Have you ever thought about the idea that your portrait photo is not telling the truth about you? I think we've all been there at one point or another. Well, it may not matter a whole lot if it's your personal photo that you just want to share on social media, but one social media platform should matter to you the most, it's LinkedIn!
A colleague recently showed me a website that helps you get a feel of your photo. It's called www.photofeeler.com. You simply upload a portrait of yourself, others look at it and evaluate it and tell you how good or "evil" you look! Well, kinda! Clever, huh?
You may not believe it, but how we look does matter to employers. They want to know who they are dealing with, you can tell a lot about the person just by how their portraits look like. So if you think you nailed that perfect portrait that will land you that dream job, think again, or rather, get a feel of it here.
If, God forbid, you see that it doesn't work, take action and do something about it. One way to improve on that is by hiring a professional photographer to take a head shot of you. A small investment can sometimes change things around, so keep that in mind.
